The Daily Scan of Past Events

The PTA board would like to thank everyone for making the following events a success!

  • September 13 - The PTA has welcomed teachers and staff back to school with breakfast at both NC and US.
  • September 14 - First PT A meeting was held at NC at 7pm. There was a high turnout of parent support.
  • Sept. 22 - Back to School Night at NC, 7pm
  • September 24 - Picture day at US. Despite the fact that this was a gorgeous Fall day, part of the school experienced power failure for the first part of the morning. Hence, class pictures were taken inside, while individual pictures were taken outside with the school and its natural landscape as the background. We hope that you will enjoy the outcome!
  • September 28 - Picture day at NC. Due to rain, plus the fact that we could not reschedule with Marty Hyman, both class and individual pictures were taken inside.
  • September 29 - Back to School Night at US, 7pm

Avoiding Food Allergies in School
Carol Leibowitz, NC Nurse

Food allergies can be life threatening. Some children have severe allergic reactions to the smallest amount of allergens; others only have minor skin irritations. The risk of accidental exposure to foods can be reduced in school if we all work together to minimize the risks and provide a safe environment for food allergic students.
Please notify the school nurse of children's food allergies. Please avoid sending in peanut or nut containing products. Please teach your child not to share or trade food. Please check all labels for hidden ingredients and when in doubt ask the school nurse!
